Is Your Heart Helping You To Prosper Or Keeping You Poor?
by Heather Dominick
EnergyRICH® Entrepreneur Success Coach
Just the other day I was walking to the subway in my New York City neighborhood and just as I approached a woman walking the other way, I sneezed. “Bless you”, she said. “Thank you”, I answered, as we passed.
Neither of us stopped or even slowed down (it’s New York, after all), but I smiled. Such a simple gesture; such a powerful impact.
This is the energy of your heart in action, your fourth energy point.
Most tend to miss, ignore, deny and avoid the energy of our heart. Constantly. Especially when it comes to building business. Yet, it’s where your brightest light and your darkest demons reside. It can soar
you to triumph or crash you into terror.
I believe it’s pretty safe to say that we’ve all been hurt at one time or another. The hurt doesn’t damage you, what you do with it does. We close our heart for protection and end up harming ourselves in the
process: you overwork to feel better, leave your relationships before they leave you and limit your financial income to what you’ve been told you’re worth.
And if this lack of “heart healing” is going to show up anywhere - it will show up in your business. When you move an inspired idea into action through the birth of a business you are, in a way, wearing your heart on your sleeve. You are taking something that you feel so passionate about and moving into practical practice for the whole world to see. Some would say, “you better have tough skin; you better be ready for rejection.”
This is what I say:
Prepare to open your heart. Wide.
Perhaps you’ve heard the saying “Do unto others as you would have done unto you”. This is true. I like to take it a step further. You get what you give and it starts with the energy of your heart. If you want to
resolve your issues with food, volunteer at a soup kitchen. Looking for a love relationship? Celebrate the love relationships that are around you; embrace wedding invitations. Want more money in your business? Give some away. And do it with grace.
Because the REAL key to the energy of the heart is no attachment to what you’ll get for giving.Your entrepreneurial strength, not your weakness, is in your open-heartedness. True prosperity is partnered with a deep sense of inner-peace. When you commit to living through the energy of your heart and allowing this spirit to move through your business, all you’ll do is thrive.
Fear will never serve your business - Only Love.
Your EnergyRICH® Call To Action:
Here’s my coach’s challenge, if you’ll accept it:
Write down one thing you really desire to have happen for yourself in your business.
Now write down something connected to this desire that you can give.
Next, write down at least one name of someone that you can give to - even if the name is ’stranger’. Put this in action for at least one day.
Go for seven days and then thirty.
Email me the results.

Going the Extra Mile Will Get You Even Further

Going the Extra Mile will Get You Even Farther
by Jack Canfield
Successful people go the extra mile. Plain and simple.
They do it because it says multitudes about their work ethic and character. They stand out from the crowd because of their extra efforts. They are unwilling to give up, even in the face of difficult times.
They get the promotions, they get the loyal customers, they grow their businesses twice as fast, they get financial rewards, job security, and they go home feeling satisfied.
Do you exceed expectations? Do you surprise people with more than they were expecting from you? Do you look for ways that you could be of more service, or for projects that you could help out on?
People notice hard workers. They notice special services and all the small touches that make dealing with you so pleasurable. And when they are talking to their friends they will mention you and recommend you because you are the one who stands out.
Do you wonder what’s in it for you? Do you think it’s unfair to give more when you’re not being compensated for it or recognized for it? Do you have the “it’s not my job” mentality?
To be successful you must change your thinking. You can only win by making extra efforts. People who go the extra mile always get payback. You will discover yourself becoming more self-confident, more self-reliant and more influential with those around you.
You will get noticed! People will see that you pay attention to detail, that you consider all the small things that really make a business successful, that you care about your image, and that you belong with all the other people who work hard to achieve. You will attract new business and new opportunities.
Listen to any success story and you will hear of someone who worked exceptionally hard to get what they wanted.
You’ll hear how they put in the extra time, did what wasn’t part of their job description, and over-delivered on what was asked of them. You’ll hear how they stuck at it until they broke through, and usually you’ll hear how it only took them a couple of years to do it.
What have you been doing for the past couple of years? The same thing? How quickly have you advanced? How quickly has time gone by? Think of what you could accomplish if you made it a habit to exceed everyone’s expectations. Image what doors could be open to you if you decided to be of better service and value.
How are you willing to go the extra mile? What kind of extra service are you willing to provide in order to stand out from the rest? What areas of your life could you be giving more of your effort and time, becoming more valuable, and improving your reputation?
Be willing to treat everyone like you’d treat your dearest friend. Don’t skimp on service. Don’t be mediocre or run of the mill. Show people what you are capable of. Show them that you care about your image and reputation.
When it comes to success, the people who are willing to go the extra mile get there that much faster!

Hire a Team To Be Successful In Business
October 9, 2008
In most large businesses, employees perform specialized functions. Secretaries handle all of the filing and related tasks. Marketing people handle the advertising and public relations. Accountants keep the books. Salespeople make the sales.
Many small businesses do not have the luxury of being able to hire employees. So the business owner must handle everything herself. While this may work out reasonably well in the initial stages, as the business grows it gets more difficult to keep up with it all. There are some compelling reasons that business owners should consider outsourcing.
1. You can’t learn everything. No matter how smart you are, you simply can’t. Even if you could, learning takes time, and there are only a set number of hours in a day. If you try to learn every minute aspect of the things that need to be done for your business, you’re going to end up disappointed and frustrated.
2. You have a life outside of your business. Everyone needs time to spend with family and friends, even if they’re running a business. If we try to tackle everything ourselves, we won’t have time to enjoy the finer things in life.
3. The stress of trying to do it all can adversely affect your health. There are enough stressors in life that we don’t need to add to them unnecessarily. But if we put pressure on ourselves to run a business on our own with no help at all, it can really stress us out. Besides affecting our state of mind, too much stress can cause high blood pressure and put us at risk for many other ailments.
4. People who are trained well in their fields may be able to do a better job. If you barely know HTML, it would take you quite a while to learn how to make a good-looking and functional website. An experienced web designer could have your entire website up and running before you were finished learning what you need to know. In situations such as this, it makes more sense to outsource than to try to do it yourself.
5. Outsourcing can save you money. Some tasks require special equipment or software. If you’re not going to need these things in the future, it doesn’t make much sense to buy them for one project. Hiring someone else that already has what is needed to get the job done is usually more economical.
In many cases, outsourcing makes good business sense. It allows us to concentrate on the things we’re best at, and it can save us time and money. So the next time you find yourself with an overabundance of work, consider outsourcing.
Team Management for Small Business Owners
October 8, 2008
Assistants are invaluable to small business owners. They handle administrative and other tasks that we don’t have the time or patience to handle. They allow us to concentrate on making our businesses more profitable and doing what we love to do.
When working with assistants, it is important to keep tabs on the work they are doing. It helps us ensure that everything is taken care of. It eliminates confusion about pay. And it helps us determine when our assistants need to be rewarded for a job well done.
Each business owner has his own way of keeping track of the work of assistants. There is no right or wrong way, as long as it works for the business. Here are some pointers on how you can effectively manage your assistant’s work.
To Do lists are beneficial to both you and your assistant. You could provide her with a list each week or each day, and keep a copy for reference. Then when she completes a task, you can check it off of your list.
If you’re working with a virtual assistant, email can help you keep tabs on her work. Creating folders and setting your email program up to file project-related messages accordingly makes it quick and easy to review communications about your assistant’s work. This may not be the best way to keep official tabs on work, but it provides you with something to refer to in case there is any question.
There are software solutions that can be of great assistance in project management. Some are based online, while others are in the form of software to be installed on your computer. These programs make it a cinch to assign and communicate about many types of work. Many of them even provide integrated file sharing that assistants can use to turn in completed work.
No matter how you choose to manage your assistant’s work, it’s a good idea to make notes once the project is completed. Was the project completed ahead of or behind schedule? Was there anything you would have liked to have seen done differently? Did your assistant go above and beyond the call of duty? This information can help you recognize any problems or miscommunications and improve the way you handle things on your end.
When keeping up with your assistant’s work, simplicity is a good thing. If you spend more time tracking the work she has or hasn’t finished than you save by having her do it, you would be better off to do it yourself. But with the help of technology, we can keep detailed records of an assistant’s work without putting a lot of time and effort into it.
Who’s Going To Stop You From Being A Success?

If you’ve ever been lucky enough to eat a Mrs. Field’s Chocolate Chip Cookie be thankful Debbi Fields was determined to be a success. Debbi didn’t listen to anyone (including successful business people) that told her “no” and insisted her business would never be successful. Everyone told her it was a bad idea to start a cookie company (with their mouths full of her cookies!)Debbi Fields Rose aka Mrs. Fields of the cookie empire Mrs. Field’s Cookies, epitomizes the woman entrepreneur. Debbi took her passion for baking chocolate chip cookies and turned it into a multi-million dollar empire.Debbi’s business plan was simple: She knew that she loved making cookies and that every time she made them people were happy. Everyone told Debbi she couldn’t do it, aren’t you cookie lovers glad she didn’t listen?
Debbi Fields Rose’s message for women dreaming of having their own business is this; “There are no limitations other than those we impose on ourselves. You do not have to be superhuman to do what you believe in.” Like I said, she’s one smart cookie!
So who’s stopping you? Are the voices in your head telling you you’re not smart enough, good enough, “whatever” enough? Are you friends and family acting as the “dream-stealers” in your life? Who are you going to let stop you from living the life you secretly desire? Why woul d you listen to anyone, including those crazy voices in your head … they’re all wrong.
In my own life I’ve listened to the dream-stealers and the inner voices in my head and I’ve missed so many great opportunities, I felt great pain and remorse as I looked back and saw all that I had lost. That pain helped me to develop my present company, Wealth, Success and Women. As I developed the coaching program, Millionaire Diva Mastermind, I found that many women dream of starting businesses and very, very few of them actually have someone that believes in them. So I developed a program that supports the dreamer in women entrepreneurs and helps the dreamers get together and get those businesses started and making six-figures only 12 months!
So if you have a dream, please don’t give up…ever! And if you need someone to believe in you, just drop me a line, I’ve been there I know what it feels like. We all need someone to believe in us … so who’s the woman in your life who needs you to believe in her and her dreams? There’s another aspiring woman entrepreneur out there who needs your support, when you meet her reach out and give her a hand..
Life Can Be Risky!
September 6, 2008
- To laugh is to risk appearing the fool.
- To weep is to risk appearing sentimental.
- To reach out for another is to risk involvement.
- To expose feelings is to risk exposing your true self.
- To place your ideas, your dreams, before a crowd is to risk their loss.
- To love is to risk not being loved in return.
- To live is to risk dying.
- To hope is to risk despair.
- To try is to risk failure.
- But risks must be taken, because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing.
- The person who risks nothing, does nothing, has nothing, and is nothing.
- They may avoid suffering and sorrow; but they cannot learn, feel, change, grow, love, live.
- Chained by their attitudes, they are a slave, they have forfeited their freedom.
- Only a person who risks is free.

How To Change Your Life
September 6, 2008
The first step toward getting somewhere is to decide that you’re not going to stay where you are.
Analyze your life in terms of your environment. Are the things around you helping you toward your success or are they holding you back? You’re a product of your environment. So choose an environment that will best develop you toward your goals.
Your world today is a living expression of how you’re using and have used your mind. It’s something you can change at any time. Where you are in your life today, you made an appointment to be there five years ago. Where you’ll be five years from now will be determined by your actions today and in the future. Don’t remain a captive to your environment. Don’t say “If I could, I would,” say, “I can, I will.”
You can make changes anytime. Why not start today?
Secrets To Reaching Your Goals
September 6, 2008
Are you really setting goals? Or is it one of those things you just know you should do to be successful but you just don’t bother? If you’re like most women out there you’re walking around with some vague goals in your head and you haven’t taken the time to write them down … because you’re too busy, right? Let me ask you this, if you’re not willing to take the time to write your goals down do you really think you’re that committed to them? I mean you won’t even make the commitment to write them down, what’s up with that?
Another thing, let’s get real about this goal setting stuff, you should not have 100 goals. That’s way too much! You have to have laser focus and commitment. Well how are you going to commit to that many things? Let’s be realistic, you should have no more than four goals at any time. Divide them into the following categories: personal, career, family and financial. See, that’s plenty to work on.
Another thing, just how committed are you to your goals? Are you willing to make your goals non-negotiable? In other words why are you setting goals unless you are determined to accomplish them … no matter what! Isn’t that why it’s easy to come up with a list of 100 goals, because you know that there is absolutely no way you’ll ever accomplish them.
So let’s see if this new way of goal setting will work for you. Make your four goals, each in the four areas I’ve suggested. Look at where you are now and look at where you want to go, that’s called a Gap Analysis. Now decide exactly what you need to do to accomplish your goals. Take this step very, very seriously because these are the steps that you will be committing to take every single day until you’ve accomplished your goals. Then the most important step … Take Action! Massive Action! You must commit to taking massive action every single day until you’ve accomplished your goal and then it’s time to set the next goal.
Think about it … aren’t you going to be much more successful and happier if you’re actually accomplishing your goals instead of wishing and hoping? Remember Ladies, Hope is NOT a strategy. So let’s get serious, set some goals, make the commitment, determine your plan and get into action!
Prince Charming Isn’t Coming!
September 6, 2008
Prince Charming Isn’t Coming. Okay, let’s face it ladies many of you are depending on Prince Charming to come sweeping into your lives and rescue you right? Well, what if I told you he’s not coming? What then? I’ve met many women who have gone through a divorce (or not) and have had to start over financially, like myself, and they just don’t see themselves getting ahead. Many of these smart, talented women think they need to find “Prince Charming”, you know the guy that’s going to come into your life, fall madly in love with you, carry you off to the forest and you’ll live happily ever after and not worry about how to pay the bills ever again!
I find these same women are so desperate to find “their prince” that they are grateful for any man that will look twice at them. Why are you ladies selling yourself short? And what’s wrong with going out and creating the future that you desire and deserve?
Every one of you have the skills, knowledge, and expertise to create the income you deserve. Ladies, you need to have “out of the box” thinking, you need to become an entrepreneur. Check out these statistics:
According to the Center for Women’s Business Research, Women are starting businesses at twice the rate of men. Women make or influence over 80% of all purchases in America. Currently there are over 10.6 million women-owned businesses employing 19.1 million people and generating $2.5 trillion in sales.
How powerful is that? Now if all those women did it, so can you. All of you ladies can go out and create the life and the business that you want. Just think how much more attractive you’ll look to Prince Charming when he does arrive at your door … you, the princess with the six-figure income business living the life of her dreams. Don’t you think the Prince would love that, the smart, savvy Princess that has created an incredible life for herself. And all you Princesses might become a little bit more selective out there, not running into the arms of the first Prince that says “hello”.
Well, I have to tell you about an incredibly smart and financially savvy woman, her name is Barbara Stanny. Barbara’s mission is to motivate women to become financially empowered. Barbara has books and workshops available to teach women how to become financially independent and wealthy.
You must read Barbara’s book Prince Charming Isn’t Coming: How Women Get Smart About Money so that you can create the life of your dreams, live the life you deserve and knock Prince Charming’s socks off when he does arrive!
Work Once, Buy Forever
September 6, 2008
We live in an instant gratification society where people, instead of saving up for the luxuries in their life and managing their finances, are slaves to their lifestyle.
There are many smart, savvy women that have unlocked the mystery of living the life of their dreams. What they do is build their lifestyles.
Would you love to have a new car every four years?
Start by figuring out what your monthly car expenses are; let’s say it’s $500 per month. $500 per month adds up to $6,000 per year…Yikes! So the key to this concept is to find a way to make this affordable.
You need to save $50,000 and invest that at a 12% annual interest rate. That will give you the $6,000 per year, EVERY year for your car expenses. What’s great about being a woman entrepreneur is that you decide your income, so while saving $50,000 may seem daunting, it is entirely doable.
Say you’ve decided to go out and purchase a car. At the end of four years, you’ve made all the big car payments and now you own the car. Hurray, right? Wrong! You now own a car that is worth a lot less than you paid for it. What’s worse, is that you’ve spent all your money. If you had followed the plan above, you would have paid for the car with your interest and would still have your principal.
Your principal is your “golden goose” and the interest is your “golden egg.” You keep the goose and spend the eggs, forever! As long as your goose lays eggs, you can have a shiny, new car parked in your garage.
Discipline yourself to do this now and you will be happy that you did. Start saving money for your golden goose, invest the savings and put all of your interest towards the golden goose. Keep adding savings and interest to your “Golden Goose” account until you’ve reached your goal.
You may also want to start studying about investments so you can get BIG, golden eggs!
Here are two websites to check out to learn all about investments:
Good luck on reaching your goals and getting the luxuries in life that you deserve.
